Sizes ranging from 2×3 up to 4×6 Lorenzo de Zavala Texas Flags

The actual size of the flag in the picture is 3×5. The artwork on all other sizes is the same.

The Zavala Flag is believed by some historians to have been the first official flag of the Republic of Texas. It was presented to the March 1836 convention that drafted the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico as well as the original Texas Constitution. Lorenzo de Zavala, a famous Tejano patriot submitted the design of this “Lone Star National Flag of The Republic of Texas” during the said convention. However, no known surviving example or drawing of the flag exists. No one can be absolutely certain, but it is believed to have been a five-point white star on a blue background with white letters “T-E-X-A-S” placed between each of the five points. The artwork is visible on both sides and the lettering reads correctly on one side only.
