This United States Marine Corps motorcycle flag is equipped with a small sleeve designed to slip over a regular motorcycle flagpole and be displayed while the vehicle is being operated at normal speed. The flag is double-sided, meaning two flags are sewn together back to back so that the lettering is readable from both sides. The fabric is a knitted polyester material that has a silky, smooth feel (similar to gym shorts) with a slight amount of elasticity which lends greater durability against the wind vs. standard printed polyester.
The Eagle Globe and Anchor commonly referred to as the “EGA” serves as the official insignia for the United States Marine Corps. The present-day emblem was adopted in 1955 and differs only by a slight change to the eagle from the 1868 insignia.
