The Florida State Flag design was adopted by the Florida State Legislature on May 21st, 1985. The design consists of a red saltire against a pure white background with the Florida State Seal superimposed over the center of the saltire. The seal depicts a shoreline with a Seminole woman laying flowers at the water’s edge.
