A small image of the famous Gonzales come and take it flag from the 1835 war for Texas independence is printed in white lettering against the bottom blue stripe. The “Come And Take It” flag in its multiple modern-day incarnations is now widely recognized and used to represent the protection of our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms. This flag serves as a reminder that Texas is a great state and we want to keep it that way. The artwork is visible on both sides of the flag and the lettering reads correctly from one side.
