Sizes ranging from 2×3 Thru 5×8 United States Coast Guard Nylon Flags
The actual size of the flag in the picture is 3×5. The artwork on all other sizes is identical.
This official US Coast Guard flag design was adopted on January 28th, 1964, and consists of a blue replica of the Great Seal of the United States against a solid white background while “United States Coast Guard” is inscribed in an arc above the eagle in blue letters. Below the seal, also in blue lettering is inscribed “Semper Paratus” along with the numerals “1790” which represents the year that the US Revenue Cutter Service (which later became the Coast Guard) was formed. Semper Paratus is the Coast Guard motto and means “Always Ready” in Latin. The artwork is dyed onto the nylon fabric penetrating through to the opposite side so the image is visible on both sides of the flag. The lettering reads correctly from one side only.
